Bardiya/ May 6 District court of Bardiya has slapped nine years imprisonment to Ram Chandra Basyal, 27, of Margadi VDC-5 for raping a 13-year-old girl. A bench of District court Judge Basanta Ram Paudel on May 4 gave the decision, said officer Dhan Singh Giri of District Court. The victim’s party had lodged a complaint at area police office of Baniyabhar on July 1, 2011 against Basyal accusing him of raping a girl on June 24 while she was sleeping at her home. The court also ordered a compensation of 25,000 rupees to be extracted from the convict to be provided to the victim. M
