A health worker working in a basic health center of Sigas Rural Municipality-3, Baitadi, has been beaten on Monday. Health worker Bhupendra Bohara, who had gone to collect swab in Ward- 5, Dhungad, was beaten by Man Singh Bohara of Ward- 3 by consuming alcohol.
According to Ghanshyam Bohara, Chief of health branch of Sigas Rural Municipality, Man Singh had beaten Bhupendra while urging him not to make crowd during the COVID Pandemic. He said, “police have been informed about the incident and the person who had beaten Bohora will be arrested today and the action will be taken against him. “
The swab collection work has been affected after the health workers who went to collect the swabs were beaten. Earlier, many health workers were also mistreated in some local levels of the district.
