Musahar community members of Chhinnamasta Rural Municipality-6, Saptari, were beaten by ward member while fishing in a public pond. The victim’s said the police have not agreed to register a complaint demanding action against those involved in the beating. Sheetal Sadaya (40), Devlal Sadaya (27), Shiva Kumar Sadaya (37) , Pramod Sadaya (27), Jagga Sadaya (18), and Bhikhani Devi Sadaya (27) were injured in the incident. The injured have been treated at Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Hospital.
Mishrilal Sah, husband of female ward member Dularidevi Sah, said people on both sides were injured in the clash. He added that Dularidevi was also injured in the incident. He added, “We’ve put fish in public ponds,’ the clash took place after they started looting. “
