A Dalit woman has filed a complaint of caste based discrimination against her husband and his family in Butwal. The 20-year-old woman filed complaint against her husband, 20-year-old Shamsher Bahadur Khatri, 55-year-old Chitra Bahadur Khatri, and her sister-in-laws 35-year-old Devi Khatri Bhandari and 27-year-old Kamala Khatri at District Police Office Butwal on September 23.

She reported to the police in the complaint that the accused used derogatory and caste-based remarks against her. They also forced her to undergo abortion, according to her. Police registered the complaint on September 24 and are further investigating.
