Around 10 young men wearing masks attacked Ward Chairman of Bedkot Municipality-9, Ram Singh Dhami with a sharp weapon on 29th September near the Regional Agriculture Training Center, Sunderpur, while he was returning home. He sustained injuries in his chest and five stitches in his stomach.
Dhami, a leader of the ruling CPN, since the very beginning was fighting against the land mafia and their employees for registering the land of three wards in the name of another. On this day, the government formed the committee to finally resolve the land issue of three wards of the municipality. It is suspected that the land mafia gang carried out this deadly attack for this reason.
