Saptari/May 18 The District Court has sent Puran Chaudhary, 27, of Baksaha in Theliya VDC-5 to custody for investigation on May 18 regarding the charge of rape attempt of a 15-year-old girl against him. District judge Ram Prasad Adhikari ordered to remand him in Rajbiraj prison, said Srestedar Nabaraj Dulal of the district court. Mother of the victim had filed a complaint against him accusing him of trying to rape her while she had gone to collect firewood at a jungle in Theliya VDC-5 on April 20. Area Police Office Kanchanpur had arrested him the same day. Medical check-up of the girl was performed at the Zonal Hospital in Rajbiraj on April 20.
