Banke/May 20 A woman and three children have been critically injured when her brother-in-law tried to burn them alive over a family dispute on May 2o. is getting treatment at Bheri zonal hospital in Nepalgunj. Saddam Ali Salmani, 25, tried to burn his elder brother Riyad Ali’s children and wife by sprinkling petrol in a fit of rage, said police. Chanda Salmani, 22, her daughter Mariyum, 5, sons Riyajul, 3, and 9-month-old Riyan were critically injured in the incident. All the injured were rescued and rushed to the Bheri Zonal hospital with the help of locals and police. They have been taken to Kathmandu in ambulance today for further treatment in INSEC's initiation and coordination of Fatima Foundation and SAATHI. INSEC, Women and Children Office and BVS Nepal have offered financial support for treatment of the victim. Dr. Suresh Kumar Naag of Bheri Zonal Hospital said that Chandani sustained 30 percent burn injury while Mariyum sustained 65 percent burn injury. Riyajul sustained 45 percent burn injury and Riyan sustained 5 percent burn injury, said Dr. Naag. Police detained Saddam while trying to flee to India after the incident. Mother-in-law Nurjaha and father-in-law of the victim have also been arrested from home in connection with the incident. The initial investigation revealed that Nau had a conflict with his brother regarding ownership of a hair salon that they jointly run in Dolpa District. SP Shekhar Koirala said that necessary action would be taken against the culprit after investigation. Binod Pandey बाँके । ०७१ जेठ ६ गते जैसपुर गाविस-१ की २२ वर्षीया चादँनी सल्मानी, उनकी छोरी ५ वर्षीया मरियम सल्मानी तथा छोराहरू ३ वर्षीय रियाजुल र नौ महिनका रियानलाई जेठ ६ गते चादँनीका देवर २५ वर्षीय सद्दाम अली सल्मानीले पेट्रोल छर्केर आगो लगाउँदा गम्भीर घाइते भएका छन् । घाइतेहरूको थप उपचारका लागि इन्सेक क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय नेपालगञ्जको अगुवाइ तथा साथी र फातिमा फाउण्डेसनको समन्वयमा जेठ ६ गतेनै एम्बुलेन्स मार्फत काठमाडौँ पठाइएको छ । घाइतेहरूको थप उपचारका लागि इन्सेक, महिला तथा बालबालिका कार्यालय र विभिएस नेपालले आर्थिक सहयोग गरेका छन् । डोल्पा जिल्लामा हजामको काम गर्दै आएका सद्दाम र सोही ठाउँमा फर्निचरको काम गर्दै आएका दाजु रियाज अलि सल्मानीबीच सम्पत्तिको विषयमा भएको मनमुटावपछि जेठ २ गते बाँके जिल्लास्थित घर आएका सद्दामले भाउजु चाँदनीलाई गाली गर्दै घरबाट निस्कन भनेका थिए । जेठ ५ गते सद्दामले आफूलाई मुख नदेखाउन भन्दै लाठीले कुटपिट गरेपछि न्यायको लागि इलाका प्रहरी कार्यालय जमुनाहमा पुगेको चादँनीले बताइन् । घाइते चाँदनीले भनिन्- "जेठ ६ गते बिहान उठेर कोठा सफा गर्दै थिएँ, सद्दाम कोठा भित्र पसेर झुल भित्र सुतिरहेका बालबालिकाहरू र मलाई पेट्रोल छर्केर आगो लगाइ भागे ।" जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयले सद्दामलाई जमनुहाबाट तथा घटनामा संलग्न भएको आरोपमा सासू नुरजहा सल्मानी र ससुरालाई जेठ ६ गते घरबाट गिरफ्तार गरेको जनाएको छ । भेरी अञ्चल अस्पतालका डा. सुरेशकुमार नागले घाइते चादँनी सल्मानी ३० प्रतिशत, मरियम ६५ प्रतिशत, रियाजुल ४५ प्रतिशत र रियान ५ प्रतिशत जलेको बताए । डा. नागले भेरी अञ्चल अस्पतालमा बर्निङ वार्ड व्यवस्थित नभएको र प्लाष्टिक सर्जरी गर्नुपर्ने भएकाले थप उपचारका लागि सुविधा सम्पन्न अस्पतालमा लैजान सल्लाह दिएका थिए । जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयमा रहेका आरोपित सद्दामले मानअधिकारकर्मीसँगको भेटमा सम्पत्तिको विषयमा भएको विवादका कारण उक्त घटना भएको बताए । इन्सेकको नेतृत्वमा मानवअधिकारकर्मीको एक टोलीले जेठ ६ गते जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयका एसपी शेखर कोइरालासँग दोषीलाई कारबाहीको माग गरेका थिए । एसपी कोइरालाले अधिकारकर्मीको टोलीसँग आवश्यक छानबिन गरी दोषीलाई यथाशीघ्र कारबाही गर्ने प्रतिवद्वता जनाए ।
