A clash broke out between CPN (Parsa) Chairman Prabhu Hajra and Secretary Bijay Mahato at the swearing-in ceremony of the CPN Municipal Committee in Bindabasini Rural Municipality of Parsa on October 22. Two people were seriously injured and more than a dozen cadres were injured in the clash.

All the injured are undergoing treatment at Narayani Hospital in Birgunj while the condition of one of the two critically injured is critical as he was injured in the head and is taken to the emergency ward. The names and addresses of the injured and in critical condition is not disclosed. The injured group reached Birgunj for treatment while the swearing-in ceremony of another group is underway.
