Sindhuli/ May 23 The district court of Sindhuli has slapped five years imprisonment to Rup Lal Majhi, 27, of Mahadevsthan VDC-2 on May 22 for raping a 24-year-old woman. A single bench of district court judge Devendra Paudel ordered to send him to prison and extract Rs 5,000 from him to provide the victim as compensation. The victim was raped by Majhi near the Sunkhani Ghagar Khola of same VDC while she was returning home from the local market on April 21. The police had arrested him the same day and filed a case at district court on May 16.
