Sudurpashchim, Bajhang, Bithadchir
Locals of Bithadachir rural municipality of Bajhang padlocked the rural municipality office and Sunkuda Secondary School over the formation of school management committee and teacher recruitment on November 2. They locked the office of the school and the room of the chief administrative officer of the municipality, education branch and administration demanding the school management committee to form a new committee from the general assembly where there should be no role of former chairperson in the teacher recruitment process .
Ramesh Adhikari, the old chairman of Sunkuda Secondary School, had formed a committee to be the chairman again. Local Sher Singh Kami filed a written petition in the district court in Bajhang alleging that the management committee was formed in a one-sided manner and the case is pending in the Dipayal High Court. Locals alleged that the chairman of the management committee, Adhikari, hastily called for a teacher's application to hire a relative as an English teacher while the case is pending in the court.
