Family of Kopila Rai, 14, of Makpa VDC-4 and a grade 10 student of Makpa Secondary School accused him of forcefully marrying her. According to the victim, Bhalkaji and his friends forcefully married her to Bhalkaji under various pretexts on 25. "Despite my refusal, his brother Japan Rai, 35, and a local Madan Rai, 24, among others took me forcibly into his house after putting vermilion on my head," she said. The victim had reported the incident to locals while she was being taken to the district headquarters for getting her clothes and ornaments for the marriage. The locals had informed the police after that. Chiuridanda Police Post have arrested Bhalkaji on May 31. Inspector Ramesh Kumar Dev said that legal action would be taken forward as the main accused has been arrested.
