Two persons attacked senior co-editor of Thaha Khabar, Kamal Rana on the night of November 22 while returning to his room after completing his office work. Rana has sustained injuries on his leg from the incident.

A police team from Makalbari police station arrested two assailants who had consumed alcohol at night but were released with a warning to be in the station by 9 in the morning. Radio Thaha Sanchar and ThahaKhabar.com condemned the attack and demanded immediate action against the attackers.
