A grade 3 student of Kanakmuni Secondary School in Kapilvastu Municipality-11 was beaten by a teacher, Chandra Prakash Upadhyaya, for coming late in the classroom. Student Barai went to buy a copy for his younger brother when there was no teacher in the classroom, but when he returned the teacher was teaching in the classroom.
Meanwhile, the boy's father Laxmi Prasad came forward in the media saying that no action has been taken against the teacher for beating him in such a manner. The ward chairman wrote a petition and said that action would be taken. The victim's family has warned to go to court and file a case if the school does not take action.
