A clash took place between the armed forces on duty near the check post and Nepal Police at Tilathi of Nepal-India border at Saptari on December 9.
Both agencies started verbally abusing and hitting each other due to the misunderstanding after Nepal Police team in a plain clothes from the district headquarters Rajbiraj started checking those coming from India near the armed checkpoint. The incident took place due to the misunderstanding.
Although both the Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force are deployed at the border, hundreds of people return to the Indian market during the day and are smuggle at night.
