Dharchula/June 4 Janaki Bam, 40, of Huti VDC-3 has filed a complaint against her father-in-law Bir Bahadur Bam on June 2 accusing him of committing domestic violence. Janaki said that she had tried to file the complaint at Huti Police Station, one day walk from the district headquarters Khalanga, saying her father-in-law was always scolding her but had to register the complaint at District Police Office as the nearby station refused to register complaint. Saying that her father-in-law was laying several blames on her making her life hell at home, she said that she as compelled to complaint against him formally. She added that despite complaint to the Huti Police station, the family members and the villagers forced her to go for compromise. District Pollice Office said both sides will be summoned.
