47-year-old Surendra Sah Sonar of Paraswa in Birgunj-32, a worker of Jagdamba Steel in Simara, Bara was brutally killed with his both eyes removed using a sharp weapon on December 11 in Parsa.
On December 10, he went to nearby street carrying around 50,000 cash that he took advance from the industry for his niece’s marriage. He supposedly talked about money and marriage with some people in Jitpur and Paraswa. Thus his relatives suspect that he might have been killed for money. The body was found in a wheat field 500 meters north of the wedding venue.
