Cadres of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) staged separate demonstrations in Janakpurdham on December 20 after President Bidyadevi Bhandari dissolved the parliament on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
The National Youth Union (NYU), which is close to the NCP (Prachanda faction) and youths close to JSP had protested in Janakpur against Prime Minister Oli's move. Speaking at a corner meeting held at Janak Chowk, the speakers warned that the agitation would continue until PM Oli withdraw his decision.
