72-year-old Raghunath Adhikari and his wife Bishnumaya Adhikari of Machhapuchre-4, Lahachok were severely beaten by an unidentified person in their own house on December 16. They were made unconscious and attacked with a sharp weapon on their face.

Raghunath Adhikari is currently in the ICU of Fishtail Hospital andpreparing to have bone surgery under his eyes. While Bishnumaya Adhikari has been discharged from the hospital.

The family members suspect that the attack may have connections with old disputes. No one is arrested in this matter yet.
