Dahal-Nepal supporters of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) staged a protest rally in Diktel on December 29 against the dissolution of the parliament by Prime Minister KP Oli. The rally started from the local helipad and reached  Triveni Chowk-Bhawan Gaira and turned into a corner rally.

NCP's Permanent Invited Member Tank Rai, Central Members Ram Kumar Rai, Rajan Rai, Samita Karki, Durga Jayanti Rai, District Coordinating Committee Khotang Chief Bobby Chamling, NCP State Committee Members Dhruv Budhathoki, Suresh Rai, NCP District Chairman Prithvi Kirati, District Secretariat Member Jalsher Rai and others condemned the move of Prime Minister Oli and President Bidyadevi Bhandari.
