3 persons including a police inspector were injured during a clash between police and locals in Besisahar of Lamjung, on January 9 while the vote counting was going on following the election of the District Convention of the FNCCI Lamjung.

The injured are identified as 28-year-old Inspector Om Bahadur Pun, 38-year-old Constable Prem Bahadur Thapa, and 41-year-old Shankar Neupane of the municipality of Besishahar-8.

Police have arrested 39-year-old Suresh Shrestha of Besishahar Municipality-8 and 29-year-old Suraj Shrestha of Sundarbazar Municipality-8 from the polling station. The necessary investigation into the incident is underway.
