Sindhupalchok/June 15 Kabita Ghimire, 19, of Sotigaon in Baramchi VDC-2 has been remanded in jail on June 15 on the charge of human trafficking. Police had arrested her at Bandeu in Sangachok VDC-9 on May 20 on charge of attempting to take an 18-year-old woman of Gumba VDC-5 to Kathmandu for trafficking. The woman filed a complaint against Ghimire at District Police Office on May 21. In her complaint, the woman said that Ram Tamang of Gundegaon in Gumba VDC-1 had sent her with Ghimire to Chautara to obtain citizenship certificate by inflating her age. Tamang currently resides in India. Ghimire said that she was just taking the woman to Kathmandu as told by Tamang.
