Khotang,Balika balatkaarka aaropit 10 barsha kaid sajay Khotang/ June 17 The district court of Khotang has slapped 10-year imprisonment and fine amount of NRS 75,000 to Japan Rai, 25, of Rakhabangdel VDC-4 on June 16. He has been convicted of raping a 10-year-old girl. A single bench of district judge Ishwori Prasad Gautam issued the verdict. An FIR was lodged against the accused at district police office of Diktel on July 17 last year on charge of rape. Health checkup of victim was conducted on the same day at District Hospital of Diktel. The accused was arrested by the police on August 14 from Bakshila VDC-5 and was remanded in custody on August 16.
