A 35-year-old woman has been killed in Pashupatinath temple premises. Preliminary investigation by the police has revealed that Babita Devi Chaudhary, who was earning a living by begging in the temple premises, was killed. Police have arrested 38-year-old Ravi Chaudhary husband of the deceased and Anu Thapa alias Thulo Challi of Nuwakot on suspicion of involvement in the murder.

Babita was beaten by some boys including  Anu three days ago for stealing Anu's mobile phone. An investigation has revealed that an attempt was made to burn Babita's body after death.

Babita's body has been sent to Teaching Hospital for postmortem.
