A civil demonstration was started in Pokhara against the decision of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to dissolve the House of Representatives from January 30. Participants in the rally carried placards demanding to save the republic and maintain constitutional supremacy.

Anandaraj Mulmi, former president of Kaski Civil Society for Good Governance, remarked that the selfishness of one person could not be more ironic than the people coming to the streets. Poetry recitals were also done during the protest, while the Representatives of Sangam Cultural Forum sang the song.
