The Madi rural municipality office of Kaski was padlocked and vandalized against the decision of the village council to move the centre of the municipality. A struggle committee formed on behalf of the locals started this agitation as the decision was taken against the political consensus and the Local Self-Governance Act.

The Gandaki state government has decided to recommend the federal government to shift the centre of the municipality from Madi-3 Yangjakot to Sahaja Beteni on the recommendation of the rural municipality.
