Protesters vandalize a restaurant in Biratnagar; mother and daughter injured from the spilt hot oil

A group of protesters of NCP-Dahal-Nepal faction broke into the Sahani family's restaurant in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-2 on the charge of opening their shop during the strike on February 4. The 40-year-old shop owner Basanti Sahani and her 22-year-old daughter Babita Sahani sustained minor injuries when the hot oil was spilt from the cooking pan. The group physically assaulted Basanti and also beat her with sticks.
The glass of the shop has been broken due to the vandalism. The protesters had thrown away the snacks and utensils of the shop. Morang police have started studying CCTV footage to take action against those involved in the incident.
