Doctors started the agitation on February 5 against the corruption in BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan. They staged a sit-in in front of the office of the vice-chancellor Dr Gyanendra Giri and padlocked the office of Guru Khanal, the head of the education department, with a warning to resign in mass if the organization does not improve immediately.

The doctors have even warned to stop non-emergency services if the demands are not fulfilled immediately.
