Palata Rural Municipality chairperson Laxman Bahadur Bam has padlocked the Ganesh primary school of ward 1 on Sunday. The examination of the Grade 8  which was about to start from today has halted because of the padlock.

Man Prasad Neupane, acting chairperson of the school management committee, said that the chairperson of the rural municipality came to the school with his team and locked two rooms stating that the villagers had not supported him and accused him of corruption.

Meanwhile, parents have demanded to open the lock of the school alleging that it is wrong for the local representative to padlock school.
