Khotang, Bahu biwaha ka aaropit haru dharautima riha. An accused of polygamy, Bhumi Raj Rai, 28 of Mauwabote VDC-6 and her second wife Ramila Khatri, 20, have been released on bail amount on June 19. The first wife of the accused, Pramila Rai, 26, who was in prison onremad, had lodged a complaint against him on March 3 at District Police Office of Diktel. Both the accused were arrested by the police on May 15 by the police. The accused were released with a bail amount of NRS 40,000 each. Prior to this, they were transferred to Diktel Prison on remand after they could not pay the bail amount. The accused took a second woman as his wife on February 26 despite having living wife and children. Pramila Rai has been remanded in custody since January 15 on charge of murdering Dil Kumar Rai, 36, while he attempted to rape her.
