A complaint was lodged against Satyanarayana Yadav and Ghanananda Khadga on February 24 on the charge of caste discrimination at a wedding party in Kanchanrup Municipality-10, Saptari. They claimed the accused had stopped them from eating a party feast, calling them untouchable.

According to the complaint, Yadav and Khadga invited locals; 19-year-old Suraj Kumar Paswan and 17-year-old Krishna Kumar Paswan to a wedding party and sent them away saying they could not eat together, calling them untouchable.
