A group of unidentified men on February 24 set fire to the house of a 44-year-old Bilas Mahato, a cadre of Nepali Congress in Chhathiaghat of Dhankaul Rural Municipality-5, Sarlahi.
The victim has lodged a written complaint at the District Police Office, Malangwa on February 25 against the arson on his house by unidentified persons.
According to the Victim, clothes, electronics items, grains, including 3 lakhs of cash, totalling damage estimated to be worth 1.4 million was caused due to the fire.
According to DSP Kunwar, 34-year-old Ram Bishwas Yadav, of Dhankaul Rural Municipality-5, Harkathawa has been arrested on the basis of suspicion after the victim's complaint.
