Police arrested Journalist Bikas Shrestha of Free Press Nepal on March 2 while he went to meet the activists of the civil movement who were arrested during their protest against the road expansion in Balaju. Meanwhile, police said that he was taken under control as he took the photos of the activists without permission.
Police had arrested six activists on February 24 for protesting against the road expansion in the Balaju bypass area. Police also arrested two more persons (Suman Shahi and Birochan Shrestha) who went to the police office demanding their release.
