An unidentified group on Monday set fire to Jwalamukhi Secondary School at Patnali in Dharan-17. The cause of the fire could not be ascertained.
The fire has caused physical damage of around Rs 2 million. The school in Patnali, about 6 km northwest of Bhanuchok in Dharan, is on the Dharan-Barahkshetra road section.
According to Basnet, two laptops, three cupboards, cash of Rs. Ninty Thousand, printer, and chair have been burnt in the arson.
Police are further investigating the incident.
