An unidentified group attacked a truck driver who was on the way to Nepalgunj from Dailekh ferrying buffaloes. The driver, 23-years-old Pawan Shahi was attacked by a group of four persons after stopping a truck in the forest of Masina in Bheriganga Municipality-12 of Surkhet on Tuesday night.
According to the District Police Office, Surkhet, both the legs and fingers of the truck driver Shahi have been cut off in a knife attack. DSP Ram Bahadur Ghartimagar of the District Police Office, Surkhet said, “Looking at the nature of the incident, the intention was to amputate both the legs and arms.”
Police suspect that the attack may have been carried out over an old revenge. Police said they are searching the absconded accused.
