Raskalia Devi Roy lodged a complaint on March 15 against 35-year-old Raj Kumar Yadav, a Janata Samajwadi Party cadre, of Haripurwa Municipality-9 stating that Yadav assaulted her 38-year-old husband Ramesh Rai.

According to the victim's wife, Yadav attacked her husband with a rod over a financial dispute. Ramesh has sustained injuries on his head, chest, and right hand. Police said that the accused Yadav is absconding after the incident.
