Thirteen ward chairpersons and executive members of Lamahi Municipality of Dang staged a sit-in at the municipality office against the decision to give the position of Chief Administrative Officer to Gehendra Bahadur Dangi who has a controversial profile.

Dangi was previously the Lamahi municipality's chief administrative officer. After Dangi began defrauding various ventures, the majority of the council members requested his expulsion via a petition. Dangi was moved after that. When Lamahi Municipality attempted to get him back, the protests erupted once more. A majority of members issued a statement opposing it and even warned to boycott all the meetings.
