Police arrested 50-year-old Tek Bahadur KC of Changnarayan-2, 32-year-old Navin Koju, 37-year-old Binod Lakha of Bhaktapur Nagar-7, and 38-year-old Kamal Khatri of Changunarayan-2 on the charge of beating a man to death for stealing a water pump.
According to DSP Deepak Giri, the locals when they saw him trying to steal the water pump on Saturday night from a small water storage pond made for mushroom cultivation.
He died at 2:30 pm on Sunday while undergoing treatment at Bhaktapur Hospital. According to doctors, he died of a brain haemorrhage. Police have launched further investigation into them.
Similarly, the identity of the deceased has not been revealed.
