Police arrested four youths from Jugal rural municipality-4 of Sindhupalchowk on the charge of robbing a Chinese couple by holding them hostage in Thamel, Kathmandu. The Chinese couple, Yun Xiaomen and his wife claimed that the robbers wearing masks tied their hands, knees and mouth with tape and looted Rs 2 million on March 29. Among the arrested are Fulkaji Tamang, Amir Tamang, 28-year-old Buddha Tamang and Santlal Lama. Chinese Yun Xiaomen is married to Anjali Tamang of Sindhupalchowk and Fulkaji, one of the accused is a relative of Anjali.
During the incident, Anjali's brothers Pravesh Tamang and Pasang Tamang were also present at their flat in Thamel and along with the couple they were also held hostage. Police arrested the accused after finding the looted money buried in their respective houses.
