Dang/ July 3 Nepal Relief Teachers’ Struggle Committee has shut down all community schools of the district on July 3 protesting police intervention. Police had intervened in the sit-in-protest staged by the teachers in front of District Education Office on July 2. The community schools of the district have been closed due to the announcement from agitating committee, said Dilli Bahadur DC, Chairperson and central committee member of the committee. The committee issuing a press statement on July 2 decided to close all the community schools, educational training centers and resource centers. Due to the closure of schools, the study has been affected in the district. The committee accused police of charging baton against the protestors who were in a peaceful sit-in-protest in front of education office. They were demanding for the implementation for four point agreement reached with Nepal Government. They further threatened to hold strong protests if the police intervened in the protest again, said DC. The release condemned the police intervention and expressed solidarity on the protest and further demanded the concerned authority to address their issues. G
