Ilam/July 10 The district court has decided 2 year imprisonment each to Seti Maya Tamang alias Chandra Maya of Pashupatinagar Municipality-9 and Bindu Tamang, 36, of Phikkal VDC-5 for trafficking a 21-year-old woman of Phikkal, Ilam under the pretext of sending her abroad. Judge Prakash Chandra Dhungana issued the verdict on July 10. Family of the victim had filed a complaint at the Area Police Office Pashupatinagar on October 2, 2013 accusing the duo of selling her in a brothel under the pretext of sending her abroad after taking four thousand rupees from her. The court had send both accused to custody for remand on October 28, 2013.
