Young Communist League staged torch rally and burnt effigies of President and PM in Udayapur

The Young Communist League (YCL) Nepal, a youth wing of the CPN (Maoist Center),  stage a torch rally and burnt the effigy of President BidhyaDevi Bhandari and Prime Minister KP Oli in Udayapur on May 23 referring to the dissolution of the parliament as 'regression-2'.

Burning the effigies, YCL Udayapur Chairman Gyanendra Magar and other party leaders and cadres said that the future of the country and the people was plunged into darkness when President Bhandari turned a blind eye to the unconstitutional move taken by the KP Oli government.

Protestors said that PM Oli and President Bhandari should be punished by the people for committing an unforgivable crime by dissolving the people's representative body, the parliament, at a time when the country was in turmoil due to the pandemic.
