Dhankuta/July 10 The district court has slapped 8-year imprisonment to a 17-year-old boy of Tangkhuwa VDC-9 on July 10 for raping a 10-year-old girl. Convicting the boy of raping the girl while she was returning home from school on May 4, the court issued the verdict. The victim had informed her mother about the incident which she later reported to the police. Police has arrested the accused from his house the same day. Uncle of the victim had filed a complaint at the District Police Office on May 5. The accused as remanded in prison after a rape case was filed against him at the court. Medical check-up of the victim was conducted at the district hospital on May 5.
