The victim’s side had lodged a complaint of caste-based discrimination at Area Police Office, Rapti, on May 25, against Sete Shrestha, alleging that the accused had beaten Amrit Pariyar of Rapti Municipality-9, Milan town, Chitawan. The victim has alleged that the accused had verbally abused his mother while walking on the road on May 24.. later on, the accused have beaten Amrit while he was going to take his mother. Amrit’s bone nearby the shoulder of the right was broken due to the attack. His treatment is undergoing at Alive hospital, Bharatpur. The victim’s side said that the police had not arrested the accused till now.

Amrit was beaten by Raj Kumar, son of local Sete Shrestha and Chinmaya while arguing over the loan. His family had taken a loan from the Shrestha family. Amrit got involved in the disputes after the Shrestha family started humiliating them by abusing their caste not only in the context of finance-related disputes.
