Khyan Bahadur Shrestha, a teacher at Janakalyan secondary school in Ramechhap Municipality-6 allegedly misbehaved with Gyanu Shrestha, a member of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Bagmati Pradesh Committee, saying that he had written news about the misuse of vaccination against Covid-19. He also threatened the journalist to beat him on the street.
The FNJ has stated that it is reprehensible to use abusive language while insulting the entire journalist and journalism profession by threatening to abuse and beat. FNJ General Secretary Krishna Sarumagar has demanded to take legal action against Shrestha for threatening the journalist.
