Dalit vets lodged complaint of caste-discrimination in Gorkha

Preeti Gaire and Bishal Sirmal, animal health workers of Gorkha Veterinary Hospital lodged a complaint on June 22 against Meera Poudel alleging her of discriminating against them on the basis of their caste. They had gone to vaccinate Poudel's cow at Bhimsen Thapa Rural Municipality Ward No. 7 Japri on June 20 under the Animal Vaccination Campaign launched on June 19 but were not allowed to touch the cow saying they belong to a lower caste.
