Police arrested 38-year-old Sita Tharu of Badarbhariya in Madhuwan Municipality-4 and her 18-year-old son on the charge of beating her 38-year-old husband Lakshi Ram Tharu to death.

The deceased Lakshi Ram Tharu had demanded Rs 100 from his wife Sita for drinking alcohol, so there was a quarrel between them over the same issue. Lakshi Ram, who was critically injured from beatings from his wife and son, during a domestic dispute died while undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Gulariya. The police are conducting further investigation in this regard.
