The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has drawn serious attention to the attack on a journalist working for Avenues Television and Prime Television by the management of Paragon Public School in Pingalasthan and vandalism of media materials.
Parents are protesting against the Paragon School's attempt to charge students arbitrarily even in the event of a lockdown.
Avenue Television journalists Saroj Poudel, Suresh Rajak and Sheetal Rijal and Prime Television's Deepak Aryal and Sundar Bahadur Gurung were attacked by a person named Sahir Udin, who was in the school administration at 11:30 am on Monday when the journalists had gone to the school to cover the story.
