According to District Police Office, Morang, 31-year-old Sajan Singh killed his 42-year-old brother, Bhola Singh, at around 10:30 pm on July 9, using a weapon during a family dispute at metropolis-5. Bhola, who sustained serious injuries to the right side of his neck, head and left hand, was rushed to Biratnagar Hospital for treatment but the doctor declared him dead at around 11 pm, according to police. Bhola is a constable working at the National Investigation Office, Khotang who had just come to his home Birtanagar during the period of prohibitory order after completing training in Hetauda.
According to locals, Sajan's wife divorced him after he started quarrelling and beating her at home after consuming alcohol and drugs. But Sajan's ex-wife Singh was under the protection of the family. According to the police, Sajan has been found repeatedly arguing at home saying that his ex-wife was supported by other family members. A preliminary investigation by the police revealed that Sajan was drunk when he killed Bhola while he tried to make Sajan reflect on the same issue.
