Youth association of CPN (UML) stage protest against Gachhadar and Alam

Youth Association Nepal, close to CPN-UML, staged a demonstration by putting a garland of shoes in the picture of Congress leaders Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar and Aftab Alam. Nepali Congress (NC) Vice President Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar, who was acquitted in the Baluwatar land scandal, is released by a special court.
The cadres of the youth association even burnt the effigy calling Gachchhadar and Alam corrupt. There were clashes between the activists of the youth association and the police. Two students were also injured in the protest that took place at 6:30 pm in front of Everest Hotel in New Baneshwor.
Gachchhadar had surrendered in a special court soon after Sher Bahadur Deuba became the Prime Minister. He was released on bail of Rs 1 million by the court. The Oli affiliated Youth Association also protested saying that the government may also release Alam soon.
