July 22, A complaint has been filed against Kumar Rai alias John, 31, on charge of killing wife Phulmaya Limbu alias Yunusha, 24, of Phalaicha VDC-9 at the District Police Office on July 22. First wife of Kumar, Sharmila Rai, 23, and his father Mani Kumar Rai, 63, are also charged with killing Phulmaya. Kumar and Sharmila were arrested on July 22 and the other accused would be arrested soon, said DSP Dipak Pokharel of the DPO. Family of the deceased had filed a complaint of murder against the trio on July 21. Phulmaya was missing since July 10. Locals had found her body at the banks of Iwa River in Phalaicha VDC-8 on July 18. Autopsy of the deceased was performed at the District Hospital in Panchthar on July 20. Phulmaya, whose husband is working abroad, performed second marriage with Kumar on March 6. The couple who were staying in Sikkim, India after marriage were brought back to the district by his first wife and mother on July 6. Brother of the deceased, Nilam Begha said that they registered the complaint as the right hand of the deceased was severed and nature of the body raised suspicion.
